Long-term conditions rarely come alone. A person with diabetes often has high blood pressure, extra weight or a fatty liver. Over years, these quietly affect the heart, kidneys, eyes, nerves and feet. In many places, patients are sent to different clinics for each problem and lose track of who is looking after what.

Dr. Das started Medcare so that one doctor could look at the full picture. His training in internal medicine covers the whole adult body. His additional training in echocardiography lets him look directly at the heart, which is where diabetes and high blood pressure cause some of their most serious harm.

• You see the doctor, not only an assistant. Dr. Das takes your history, examines you and explains your plan himself.
• Tests are chosen, not bundled. You only do the tests that will change a decision about your care.
• Reports are explained before you leave. You go home knowing what each number means and what to do next.
• We look for complications early. Eyes, kidneys, nerves, feet and heart are checked on a schedule that suits your condition.
• Your plan fits your life. Food advice is based on what you actually eat at home, including rice, fish, pitha and festival food.
• We keep in touch. You can send reports and questions on WhatsApp between visits.

Consultations: diabetes (all types), diabetes in pregnancy, diabetic foot care, obesity and weight, high blood pressure, heart failure and heart risk, thyroid disorders, asthma and COPD, sleep apnea, fever and infections, fatty liver, joint pain and arthritis, migraine and headache, anaemia, and preventive check-ups.

Tests done in the clinic:

• Echocardiography with strain imaging
• ECG
• Patch Holter monitoring (3 days, longer if needed)
• 24-hour blood pressure monitoring
• Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
• HbA1c and finger-prick sugar
• Spirometry (lung function)
• Body composition analysis
• Diabetic foot nerve and circulation check
• Sleep study

Medcare does not run its own laboratory or sell medicines at present. Dr. Das tells you which blood tests you need, and you can get them done at a lab of your choice. Prescriptions can be filled at any pharmacy you prefer.

Medcare is on the ground floor, with a wheelchair available. The waiting lounge displays the Charter of Patients' Rights. We accept cash, UPI and cards.

If you need hospital admission, Dr. Das explains your options, and you choose the hospital that suits your needs, location and insurance. Medcare does not favour any particular hospital.
